Class details
Rules and Regulations for the Little Burgundy Sports Center Day Camp
- Clientele
The day camp is intended for children aged 5 to 12 (the child must be 5 years old before June 24).
- General –
The minimum age is 5 before the start of the camp
The camp reserves the right to match groups to ensure that activities run smoothly.
If the camp is full, waiting lists are available and additional groups may be formed if demand warrants. –
When we contact a participant on the waiting list, he or she will have 24 hours to inform us of his or her intention.
We will then contact the next participant on the waiting list.
- Schedule
Camp operating hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday. On-call service is available from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. The meeting point is the Centre sportif de la petite bourgogne.
A parent who brings his or her child after 9:00 a.m. or who wishes to pick up his or her child before 3:00 p.m. is responsible for joining the child’s group where it is, if the child has left the Centre. For safety reasons, no parent or child will be admitted to the Centre before 7:00 a.m.
- Illness
Only children fit enough to participate in camp activities will be admitted.
Children showing symptoms of fever or who are too ill to follow their group will be sent home. If the parent is unable to pick up his or her child, he or she must mandate a member of his or her family to pick up the child within a reasonable time following the camp’s call.
A child with symptoms similar to a contagious disease may join the camp only after obtaining written authorization from the doctor.
If your child needs to take medication during day camp, you must notify the camp supervisor. Your child may not bring or take any medication without informing the director.
A medication authorization form must be completed by the parent in collaboration with the coordinator.
Medication distribution
Involves the physical delivery of medication to a person who is physically and mentally capable of self-administering it.
Camp staff may dispense medication under the following conditions:
The medication is prescribed and prepared by an authorized professional for self-administration.
The person is capable of doing so.
The medication is explained to the camp staff.
The camp staff has clearly understood the explanations provided.
The camp staff member may distribute and administer the medication if he/she has obtained prior consent from the parent or guardian.
- Arrival and departure
On arrival, parents must ensure that their child has been seen and checked in by the animator before leaving. They must also communicate any relevant information about the child’s health or condition to their counsellor or the coordinator. Upon arrival, the child had breakfast and was ready to participate in camp activities.
Upon departure, the parent or person authorized to pick up the child presents photo identification and notifies a counsellor that he or she is leaving with the child. Only adults indicated in the child’s file may leave with the child. Using our form, it is possible to authorize a new person to leave with the child, on a one-time basis or for the duration of the camp, by means of a written note to the coordinator. This person must also present photo identification when picking up the child. The person in charge may also ask for the password in the child’s file for security reasons.
The parent whose child travels alone between the Sports Center and home has full responsibility for his or her child until a counsellor takes the child’s presence and from the moment the counsellor authorizes the child to leave. Children allowed to leave alone after camp will automatically be sent home at 3:00 p.m. They may also leave the daycare service at the time indicated in the file by their parent, if the parent benefits from the service.
- Lateness and absences
Any lateness or absence of your child must be communicated by telephone as soon as possible to the camp coordinator.
- Allergies and food
Nuts, peanuts and other allergens are not permitted in lunch boxes. Lunches provided must also be free of sweets and other treats and constitute a complete meal sufficient to sustain the child throughout the day. Children will have two snack times during the day. These are provided by the parent, in the lunchbox.
If your child has an Epipen auto-injector, we need to know about it.
- Equipment
The child’s bag must contain the following items on a daily basis:
- Bathing suit and towel;
- Shoes suitable for walking and sports.
- Cold lunch with ice pack
- Comfortable backpack for walking;
- Water bottle;
- Comfortable clothes for moving around and having enriching experiences without fear of soiling or damaging them;
- Raincoat and rain boots, when weather permits;
- Cap or hat (summer);
- Sunscreen (summer);
- Mosquito repellent (summer).
A free camp T-shirt will be given to each child.
CAMP CHANDAIL is MANDATORY on outings.
- Programming / Outings

The programming of activities will be communicated to you each week.
You will be informed of the departure time for each outing. You must sign the outing authorization form.
It is essential that you arrive early. The bus will leave at the scheduled time and, if your child is late, you will have to join the group at the outing location or keep him/her with you for the day.
10.lost and found
All your children’s personal belongings must be identified with their first and last names. The sports center is not responsible for any loss, theft, breakage or other damage to your children’s personal belongings. Valuable objects and clothing should be left at home. The sports center declines all responsibility for loss or theft of personal belongings. We advise you not to bring valuables to day camp.
- Special needs
Our camp wants to include children with special needs. Information about your child’s health is invaluable and will help us ensure a successful camp experience.
Your child’s admission to the program will be based on the information provided about his or her behaviour and ability to adapt to a day camp environment, as well as the resources, counsellors and funding available to day camps.
If, during the summer, we realize that a child with special needs has been registered for camp without having gone through this process, and that we do not have adequate resources to meet his or her needs, we reserve the right to immediately cancel the child’s registration.
If your child’s application needs to be changed during the registration process or during the summer, please contact the administrative team as soon as possible to ensure that we have the necessary resources to continue to meet your child’s needs.
Registration for children requires special assistance at the same time as registration for all. Please contact us prior to registration to ensure a smooth process.

12 Confidentiality
All information remains confidential.
- REFUNDS
Camp fees must be paid in full before the end of the 1st week of camp.
There are no refunds after the 1st week of camp.
14.Payment policy and online registration and payment –
Full or partial amount (direct debit possible*) by electronic cheque or credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
Registration and payment at the office: – Total amount in cash, by Interac Debit or credit card; – Partial amount (possibility of direct debits*) by electronic cheque or credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
Registration and payment by telephone : – Total or partial amount (with debit options*) by credit card (MasterCard or Visa).
PAYMENT AGREEMENT WITH AUTOMATIC DEPOSIT – A credit card or specimen cheque is required. – A 1st payment per child is required upon registration. –
The deadline for payment of fees in full is the Friday before the last week of your child’s attendance at camp, or the Friday before spring break for winter camp. –
There is no administration fee for deferred payments.
* The maximum number of withdrawals varies according to the registration date and type of camp. Please contact us for further information.
PAYMENT AGREEMENT WITH FINANCIAL AID
Participants with access to financial aid from a recognized institution (CIUSSS, Centre jeunesse, etc.) must provide us with an official confirmation letter BEFORE registering.
The amount or percentage covered by the financial assistance must be clearly indicated. If the financial assistance does not cover the total cost of the day camp, the participant must pay the difference at the time of registration. If a participant provides us with a letter confirming that he/she is entitled to financial assistance after registration, a credit will be applied to his/her file. No refunds will be possible. PETITE BOURGOGNE SPORTS CAMP CODE OF LIFE
We must have certain rules to ensure that your children have a great summer at day camp. Respect is important to everyone, and disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated. No verbal, physical, or gestural violence will be tolerated towards children or camp staff. The day camp operates on a system of verbal warnings, followed by written warnings for any breach of the rules.
System of disciplinary measures:
Step A (Communication to the child) :
The instructor will give the child up to 3 verbal warnings, depending on the seriousness of the action. Violations will be noted.
Stage B (Communication to parents and child):
At the third verbal warning, the instructor will inform the parents of the rule breaches. Together, the parents and instructor can try to find a solution to the bad behaviour.
Step C (Communication with parents) :
- If breaches of the code of conduct persist, the camp director will issue a warning to the parents. In addition, the child will be suspended from camp for one outing or one day.
- If the code of conduct breaches persist, the camp manager will call the parents, and the child will be expelled from camp for the rest of the summer.
Camp fees are not refunded for a child suspended or expelled from camp.

Day camp participants must abide by the rules and regulations of the Centre sportif de la Petite-Bourgogne and respect the guidelines or risk losing their access privileges to the camp facilities.
