A gentle approach to fostering balance, mobility and vitality

Following the success of our introductory Qigong workshop, we are offering a series of five progressive workshops to help you discover and explore this gentle and accessible practice in greater depth.

Held every two weeks, these workshops will explore simple exercises designed to improve flexibility, balance, breathing and relaxation. Between sessions, short videos will be provided to encourage regular practice at home and extend the benefits into everyday life.

Treat yourself to a moment to move, breathe and look after yourself. Qigong is recognised for improving balance, mobility, flexibility and your overall well-being, whilst promoting a better night’s sleep, a reduction in stress and the maintenance of cognitive abilities.

Content of the workshops :

1- The basics of Qigong: posture, breathing and relaxation

An introduction to the fundamental principles of Qigong: natural posture, physical relaxation, calm breathing and grounding. This workshop will also introduce the Wuji posture, a simple practice that helps to develop stability, mindfulness and deep relaxation.

2- The 12 movements of Hunyuan Qigong, part 1

A gradual introduction to an initial series of flowing movements designed to promote the flow of energy, joint mobility and coordination between the body and the breath. A gentle and accessible practice, ideal for deeply loosening up the body.

3- The 12 movements of Hunyuan Qigong, part 2

We will build on the movements learnt previously and incorporate additional exercises to improve balance, fluidity and concentration. We will also explore how to use the breath to calm the mind and support vital energy.

4- The 12 movements of Hunyuan Qigong, part 3

In this fourth workshop, we will learn the final movements of the 12-movement Hunyuan Qigong sequence and take the time to integrate the entire sequence. This comprehensive practice helps to improve coordination, mobility, balance and the flow of energy throughout the body.

5- Review and integration

This final workshop will provide an opportunity to review all 12 movements, to improve the fluidity of the sequence and to clarify the key points: relaxation, breathing, coordination and intention. A moment to consolidate the skills and gain independence in practising at home.

These workshops are open to everyone, even those with no previous experience. The exercises can be adapted to suit each person’s abilities.
