Poetry and creative writing
Offered by a professional writer, these workshops combine creative writing, poetry, performance and visual expression. Students will become aware of different ways of using the written and spoken word. There will be individual and group work aimed at exploring and appreciating language.

About the Urban Culture Lab
The arts and cultural programs offered by the Laboratoire de culture urbaine (LUC) are coordinated by McGill University’s Institute of Health and Social Policy (IHSP). The Laboratoire de culture urbaine offers programs in numerous community organizations in Little Burgundy and southwest Montreal. LUC is a site for collaboration and exchange between citizens, youth, community organizations, schools, and members of the McGill University community.
Focusing primarily on projects rooted in the arts, LUC implements progressive and innovative projects structured by principles of social justice, personal development, civic togetherness, and intersectionality. All programs are free of charge for students.
